Flower Girl Dresses and Christening Gowns

Topics:

One of the important details of a wedding is deciding the flower girl dresses. Generally, the flower girl or girls are the youngest female members of the family who are included in the capacity as a flower girl. The flower girls walk down the aisle ahead of the wedding party tossing out flower petals or flowers or handing flowers to the guests seated along the aisle. Like any of the other many wedding details, the flower girl dresses need to work for the overall look of the wedding and be comfortable for the little ones to wear.
Another important event that needs a beautiful dress is the christening. Christening gowns are long and flowing, hanging below the baby’s feet, and is in white or very light colors. Lace and satin are common applications to use when making christening gowns. The christening gowns are worn for the christening ceremony in which parents have performed as they promise to bring their child up as a Christian. Blessed water is gently poured over the baby’s head to symbolize a new or fresh start with God during the christening. Once completed the christening gowns are usually put away to be used for future christenings within the family or handed down through the family for the purpose of christenings.
